Speaker 1:

just because you can do, it doesn't mean you should, and that has stuck in my mind so earnestly that just because I have capacity to do a lot of things, it doesn't mean I have to do everything. And sometimes it's okay to say no just to protect your mental health, just to protect your space and your wellbeing-being, because you can't do everything or just one person, and I'm now learning that I need to start utilising the the privilege of having a team, because now I'm starting to build a team, I can't be all things to all people. Speaker 1:

Hello guys, so I'm at home in my humble abode not in this studio today, although I'm trying to get more studio episodes as much as I can, more studio episodes as much as I can. So I thought I might just put out a video to let you know that I'm just taking a little bit of a break from Divining Eggma. I'm going to be going on holiday and I'm going to be figuring things out for myself on what direction I want to take the podcast. It's a very beautiful podcast. I've had such amazing guests on and I'm so proud of the body of work that I've put together because I know that what I'm doing is very unique. There are not many people that look like me, that are taking this challenge of tackling neurodiversity in the workplace and really like putting a sort of image on it. I haven't really scripted this episode, but I just want to let you know that I'm going to be taking a few weeks off. The episodes will continue to keep going. You know if keep going on every two weeks, um, and I'm going to keep putting out episodes more and more. I've managed to get to episode 50, so there are 50 episodes out, constant um out right now.

Speaker 1:

And yeah, I just want to know that I love all of my followers, subscribers, uh, people that follow me on instagram, people that I sign up to the newsletter, which I will put in the description. So please sign up to the newsletter so that you can find out um any of the latest news happening to me. I'm very fun on instagram, so you'll find a lot of my like, a bit more personal stuff and fun stuff that I do on Instagram and um, yeah, you can get to know me a little bit more there. Um and, um, yeah, I just want to know that I just love all the comments, all the feedback. Um, I I'm enjoying this platform so much and I just think it's just so important just to carry on showing neurodiversity from a Christian lens just as much as showing it from a professional lens, and all that other good stuff. I'm working on a number of different projects right now. Um, as you know, I'm an ADHDer. My brain has to be working like 100 miles per hour. But, yeah, I'm just letting you guys know that there will be a little bit of a break.

Speaker 1:

Most of the time I take September off. I think, um, it's interesting because people that have like kids and they have family, they take August off or July off, but I take September off because I feel like when September happens for me, it just it's happening and I'm like, how do I deal with all this overwhelm? So I want to take my foot off the brake a little bit and focus on a few personal things that I need to address, as well as just making sure that I don't overwhelm and burn myself out. And there's something that kind of came to my mind and this is going to be a really, really short episode that a friend said to me and this is what she said to me. She said just because you can do it, doesn't you should? And that has stuck in my mind so earnestly that just because I have capacity to do a lot of things, it doesn't mean I have to do everything. And sometimes it's okay to say no, just to protect your mental health, just to protect your mental health, just to protect your space and your wellbeing, because you can't do everything or just one person. And I'm now learning that I need to start utilising the the privilege of having a team, because now I'm starting to build a team. I can't be all things to all people, and I think it's so important, particularly when you're neurodivergent, to work towards your strengths. So that's what I'm going to do.

Speaker 1:

So I'm going to take a couple of weeks, just a few weeks, out. I won't take too much of a long break of the podcast and then I'll be back, probably fresh in October, with some episodes that I do have coming up. So, um, yeah, that is it. So, guys, I see you on the other side. Take care for now, and if you want to get any latest updates about me, you can check my Instagram, which is Divided Eggma. I'm also on TikTok, but I don't do too much for TikTok but I might get into that a bit more. And I'm also on LinkedIn, so you'll get a little bit of me on LinkedIn. So that's there on Liferay on LinkedIn, not Divided Eggma, but there I do have a page, but I haven't done much to it. So, yeah, so if you want to know the latest things that's happened to me, just check my Instagram, which is Dividing Eggma. Okay, guys, I will see you.

Speaker 1:

On the other side, members know about the six-week coaching program that I'll be offering for people who are neurodivergent and who want to improve their career prospects in general, or those who want to get into project management. You can also be non-neurodivergent too. I mentioned this earlier in previous episodes, but I want to make the time to offer it up to those looking for help in those areas in their life, as it's a great way to learn new skills to help you advance in your career. I'm also offering my support to people who want to pass the PRINT2 practitioner exam or other project management exams, as I've taken and failed the test a few times and I would like to help others by showing them how I passed.

Speaker 1:

I also launched my membership Neuro in Egma, in which you get supportive community career and business mentorship, monthly group coaching calls, networking opportunities, mental health well-being days and unlimited body doubling sessions and UK and very soon international meetups. I'm also working with the British Dyslexic Association, analexic, one of the UK's biggest neurodiversity organizations, to ensure our members get free for neurodiversity assessments accredited with an educational psychologist or doctor. So if this sounds like you're interested to learn more, please reach out to me directly to talk more about the membership. Please follow me on all platforms where you listen to podcasts Thank you for listening to Divining Edmum and if you got to the end, this is a safe place for project managers, professionals, side hustlers and anybody who's looking to navigate the complexity of being neurodiverse in the workplace and the corporate space. I'll see you next time.
